CalWidget
A native macOS widget that shows a full month view of your Google Calendar, right in Notification Center or on your desktop. It reads Google Calendar directly, so it doesn't depend on syncing through Apple Calendar.
Features
- Month grid with compact event chips in each day
- Reads directly from Google Calendar
- Uses your Google calendar colors
- Medium and large widget sizes
- Light and dark mode
- No account on our side and no tracking. Your data goes only between your Mac and Google
How it works
- Open the app and sign in with your Google account.
- Add the widget from Edit Widgets in Notification Center or on the desktop.
- The widget refreshes in the background and shows the current month.
The app asks only for read-only access to your calendar. It can't create, edit, or delete events.
Why the app needs access to your Google Calendar
The widget's only job is to show your Google Calendar events in a month grid on your Mac. To do that, it asks Google for one permission, https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.readonly, which lets it:
- Read your list of calendars, with their names and colors, so you can choose which ones to show and each event appears in its calendar's color.
- Read the events in those calendars (title, date and time) for the month on screen, so they can be drawn in the grid.
This data is used only to display your calendar on your own Mac. It goes straight from Google to your Mac and is never sent to us or anyone else. It isn't used for advertising or to train AI models. The full details are in the Privacy Policy.
